Maagha Rathotsava

Yearly fair of the temple will going to be held in Maagha (February) month of every year. During this fair, the temple and the lord will undergo a majestic decoration and bless his devotees. Decorated lord will be taken for the round in a palaquine and all the devotees will get a chance to view the majestic way of the lord.

Along the worship of lord Ranganatha, fair of Lord Garuda will takes place as well and is called as Garuda Seva. Devotees will witness the miracle in Garuda Seva.

During Garuda Seva, the number of people require to carry Lord Garuda from Garbhagudi through each of the five prakarama of the temple keeps doubling from 4 to 128 people. Again while coming inside the temple, the weight keeps decreasing the number of persons carrying keeps reducing by half to final 4 who carry it to abode.

Worshipping Kala Garudaa is said to free his devotees from Naga Dosha, skin aliments and bless the childless couples.
